About Youth at Risk

The Youth at Risk (YAR) program is an 8-year old initiative located in Lawrence that strives to increase the capacity of the hundreds of professionals and organizations that serve and care for youth in Essex County. We do this by achieving the following goals:

1. providing information about important youth issues and the existence of hundreds of Essex County youth-serving agencies;
2. increasing awareness of  and access to training, professional development and networking for youth providers; and
3. connecting those who support youth.
