Follow up to April 5 Childhood Obesity Forum hosted by the North Shore/Cape Ann Community Health Network (CHNA) and Youth at Risk (YAR)

The CHNA/YAR joint meeting, Critical Issues for Today's Youth: A Forum on Childhood Obesity, held on April 5 at the Peabody Marriott was a resounding success! More than 50 participants from the fields of education, social services, and health care listened to a variety of perspectives on this public health epidemic. Presenters included Dr. Edward Bailey, Chief of Pediatrics, North Shore Children’s Hospital, Lea Susan Ojamaa, DPH, NPAU, Chronic Disease Prevention, Roberta Friedman, MPHA and Massachusetts Partnership for Healthy Weight, Dyan DelPazzo, Beverly Hospital's Lifestyle Management Institute, Melissa Diamond, The Food Project, and Karen Spiller, Blue Cross Blue Shield MA. The forum was generously sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield.
