Youth Needs and Asset Map for Essex County

The Youth at Risk Committee in collaboration with the Northeast Center for Healthy Communities identified appropriate youth related indicators and measures, collected the data, and analyzed the results using a mapping software. The project intends to use the data maps as a tool for youth serving agencies and organization in Essex County to develop effective programming, increase collaboration, share resources, and advocate for policy change.

The maps are presented using a dynamic popup window where you can quickly select different maps, zoom in and out, and see the location of youth serving agencies. When this window opens, change the maps by clicking on the down arrow in the map selection window at the top of the screen. To choose to see the location of youth serving agencies, click on the different boxes in the left hand column. For help click on the ? anytime in the upper right.
