Click on a control in the map below to learn what it does.



Select Tool. Use this tool to select spatial feature of the current active layer. To select a particular object click on it with the mouse. To select a number of objects drag a box over them with the mouse. All the objects falling inside the box will be selected. Selected objects are highlighted on map. The number of selected objects are shown in status panel. Click on the selected city/town or youth program to see detailed information.

Zoom In Tool. To zoom in on a particular position, choose the Zoom In tool and click the position with the mouse. Map will be zoomed in by a factor of 2.0 centered on the position you choose. To zoom in to a particular area, define the area by dragging a box with the mouse. Map will be zoomed to the area you define.

Zoom Out Tool. Zooms out from a map, centered on a position you define with the mouse.

Pan Tool. This tool lets you pan a map by dragging the display in any direction with the mouse. To pan, move the cursor anywhere over the map, hold down the mouse button, and drag in any direction. Release the mouse button to leave the display in your desired position. Viewer will update the display to fill in any blank areas revealed in your pan.

Zoom to Domain. To zoom out to view all of Massachusetts or select just Essex County, select appropriate domain from list.

Map Selection. Click on the different maps in the drop down section to view.

Legend contains the list of loaded layers. It represents their names and renderings. The active layer can be changed through the legend window by clicking the box of the interested layer you want. You can see more detail of the layer by zooming in.

Status Panel. This panel is situated on the bottom of application screen. It contains status text, coordinate and scale info.
